What happens when a step fails

No automatic retry: the failure is recorded on the order and appears on a dedicated screen you retry from.

The failure is stored, not lost

When Odoo refuses a step, the connector stores the error message on the order itself along with the time of the attempt, then carries on with the following steps. One failure does not halt everything.

There is no automatic retry

The connector does not retry by itself. The order stays on the error screen until you fix the cause and press retry yourself. Check the error screens at least weekly.

One screen per step

Every step that can fail has a screen listing the orders that failed at it, with the Odoo message for each. See the full "Error Screens" section.

Retrying

  • Retry on a single row — for one order after fixing its cause.
  • Retry Fix All — for every order on the screen, which is what you want after fixing a shared cause such as a missing journal.

Fix the cause first

Retrying without fixing reproduces the same error. Read the Odoo message first — it tells you exactly what is missing.

The first error in the chain

If the same order appears on several error screens, start with the earliest in the pipeline: fixing invoice creation usually clears the posting and payment errors with it.
