How quantities are kept in step
Odoo is the source, Salla is written to. Two different mechanisms depending on your hosting.
One direction, always
Odoo is the source of truth for quantity. The connector reads the available quantity in Odoo and writes it into Salla.
The reverse never happens: edit a quantity by hand in the Salla dashboard and it does not reach Odoo, and it will be overwritten at the next sync. To change a quantity, change it in Odoo.
The two mechanisms
Which one you get is decided by your hosting type:
- Odoo.sh — the Tecfy addon inside Odoo watches stock moves and calls the connector the moment a quantity changes. Near-instant, and the screen is called Products Quantities.
- Odoo Online — a scheduled action inside Odoo runs every twenty minutes and notifies the connector. Not instant, and the screen is called Products Quantities (Online).
Which locations are counted
The locations are set on the company record inside Odoo, not in the dashboard. Open the company in Odoo and you will find a Salla page with:
- Your Salla merchant id
- A switch to enable quantity updating
- The list of locations the quantity is counted from
Choose more than one and their quantities are added together.
An unmapped item gets no quantity
The connector cannot update the quantity of an item whose Salla counterpart it does not know. If one item's quantity never updates, check its mapping first.
An item in an unselected location
Stock sitting in a location you did not select on the company record is not counted, and shows as zero in Salla.
