Odoo.sh or Odoo Online
The most consequential choice in the whole setup: it changes how quantities sync and swaps whole screens in your sidebar.
What the difference is
Odoo.sh or self-hosted — you can install custom apps inside Odoo, including the Tecfy addon.
Odoo Online (SaaS) — your database is on odoo.com and you cannot install custom apps on it at all.
What follows from the choice
On Odoo.sh: you install the Tecfy addon, it pushes quantity changes to the connector the moment they happen, and you get the Products Quantities screen.
On Odoo Online: the connector builds what it needs inside Odoo itself through the standard Odoo interface — a model, views, and two scheduled actions every twenty minutes — and you get the Products Quantities (Online) screen instead.
The two screens never both appear
The hosting choice hides one screen and shows the other. If you are hunting for a quantities screen and cannot find it, check your hosting choice first.
How to choose
If your Odoo URL ends in odoo.com and you have no Apps menu that lets you install custom modules, choose Odoo Online. Otherwise choose Odoo.sh.
It can be changed later
If you migrate from one hosting type to the other, change the setting here and then prepare the Odoo side again for the new type.
