Which Odoo account to use

The rights the connector account needs inside Odoo, and what happens when one is missing.

A dedicated account, not a personal one

Create an Odoo user with a clear name such as "Salla Integration" and use it for the connector alone. That makes connector activity distinguishable in the Odoo log, and means an employee leaving does not break the integration.

The rights it needs

The account needs access to:

  • Sales — to create, confirm and cancel sales orders.
  • Accounting or Invoicing — to create and post invoices, register payments and credit notes.
  • Inventory — to create and validate delivery orders and read quantities.
  • Contacts — to create and update customers.

It must also have access to the company you selected in the settings.

A missing right looks like a connector fault

An under-privileged account connects fine and then fails on exactly one step, with an access-rights message from Odoo. If a single error screen is full while the rest are empty, suspect that account's rights for that one module first.

Use an internal user

The user must be an Internal User, not a Portal user, otherwise it cannot see most of the models.

Open User info

The link opens the screen directly in the Integration Dashboard.
