First-time setup checklist
The order that actually works, from nothing to your first test order.
1Install the app
Install the connector from the Salla App Store and grant it access, then choose a dashboard password. See "Installing the app on your Salla store".
2Connect Odoo
Enter your Odoo URL, database name, port, email, password and version, then press Save and Reload. See "Odoo connection information".
3Pick your hosting type and company
Choose Odoo.sh or Odoo Online, then pick the Odoo company the store will be linked to. Both choices change several later screens.
4Prepare the Odoo side
On Odoo.sh: install the Tecfy addon inside Odoo, then press Add Fields and View. On Odoo Online: press Add Fields, Views and Cron.
5Set accounting, inventory and customers
Work through the Accounting, Customer and Inventory tabs and choose your journals, accounts, taxes and warehouse. Do not leave a required field empty, or the step that depends on it will fail later.
6Load and map your products
Load your Salla products and your Odoo products into the connector database, then map them — automatically first, then by hand for the leftovers. An order containing an unmapped product will not reach Odoo.
7Set the statuses
On the Status tab, choose which Salla order statuses create the sales order, then the invoice, then the payment, then the cancellation. This is the single most important step: without it the connector does nothing.
8Try one order
Create one test order in Salla and move it through the statuses, then follow it on the Orders screen and the error screens. Fix whatever appears before you let real orders through.
9Ready
If the test order made it end to end with no errors, the connector is ready.
