The path an order takes

From the moment an order is created in Zid to it appearing in Odoo, and where it stops if something fails.

The five steps

1. Something happens in your store — a new order, say.

2. Zid sends a notification to the connector service.

3. The notification is placed on a processing queue.

4. The connector reads it and carries out the matching action in Odoo, according to your settings.

5. The result is recorded: on success the Odoo document id is stored, on failure it appears on the relevant error screen.

Why there is a queue

The queue means notifications are not lost if Odoo is slow or briefly unavailable. They are processed in order when it comes back.

Where to check each step

Step 2 on the Zid Events screen. Steps 4 and 5 on the Orders screen and the error screens. If the event never appears at all, the problem is your webhook subscription.

Processing is not always instant

It usually takes seconds, and can take longer under a burst of orders or when Odoo is slow. A short delay is normal and not a cause for concern.
