COD and shipping services
How shipping and cash-on-delivery charges become lines on the Odoo invoice.
Why services are needed
Shipping and cash-on-delivery charges are not products in your store, but they must appear as lines on the Odoo invoice. So you map them to service products in Odoo.
The default services
Choose a Default Shipping Service and a Default COD Service from your Odoo products. They are used for every shipping company unless you say otherwise.
Per shipping company overrides
The table lists the shipping companies available in your store, and you can set a different service for each. Leave a row empty to use the default.
The four tax toggles
Shipping and COD each have two toggles: add the normal tax, or add the zero-rate tax. Pick whichever matches how you treat those charges for tax.
An unset service means a missing line
If no service is set and an order arrives carrying a shipping charge, the charge may be missing from the invoice, or invoice creation may fail. Check Create Invoice errors if you see that.
Create the services in Odoo first
The service products must exist in Odoo before they appear in these dropdowns. Create them in Odoo, then press Refresh here.
