How customers sync
When a customer is created in Odoo, and what data travels with them.
Two events drive customers
The connector subscribes to customer created and customer updated from Zid. When either arrives, the matching Odoo partner is created or updated.
Customers are also created with orders
Even without a customer event, processing a new order creates the partner needed in Odoo so the sales order can be issued to them.
What is carried over
Name, contact details and address, along with the receivable and payable accounts set in your configuration.
The link is stored
After the first creation, the Odoo partner id is stored on the customer record, so no duplicate is created however many times they order.
If you use a pooled customer
With the pooled-customer option on, no partner is created per buyer at all. See Using one customer for everything in this section.
