Reading an error screen
The layout every error screen shares, and what its buttons do.
They are all the same shape
Every error screen shows a table of failed records: the order reference, its date, the error message exactly as Odoo returned it, and the action buttons.
The error message is the key
The message comes from Odoo itself and the connector does not reword it. Read it in full — it usually names the exact field or account that is missing.
Retry and Retry all
Retry handles one row. Retry all handles every row shown, which is what you want after fixing a shared cause.
Delete removes the record, not the problem
The Delete button only removes the error row from this screen. The order is unchanged and its step is still incomplete. Only delete when you have already handled the order by hand in Odoo.
Mock preview
You may see a notice that the page is a mock preview with dummy data. In that mode no real actions run.
The right order to work through them
Work through them in lifecycle order: customers and products first, then the sales order, then stock, then the invoice, then payment. An early failure causes the later ones.
