What happens after you save
Nine automatic steps the connector runs as soon as the Odoo connection succeeds.
Automatic setup saves you hours
As soon as you save working Odoo details, the connector configures the minimum needed to operate, with no input from you.
1. Connection check
The connector confirms it can reach Odoo. This is the one decisive step: if it fails, nothing after it runs.
2. Default company
If you have not chosen a company, the connector picks the first one in Odoo. If you already chose one, it is left alone.
3. Initialize Odoo
The connector prepares what it needs inside Odoo. If this step fails the error is logged and setup continues.
4. Subscribe to Zid events
The connector subscribes to the eight events it needs from Zid. See Zid webhook subscription.
5. Receivable and payable accounts
If they are not set, the connector picks suitable defaults from Odoo, preferring accounts belonging to your selected company.
6. Zid statuses
The connector reads every order status available in your store and initially sets all of them to create a sales order.
7. Enable product sync
The connector switches on adding new products to Odoo and updating them.
8 and 9. Pull the first batch
The connector pulls your most recent 50 products and 50 orders and processes them, so you have real data to check straight away.
Fifty only, not everything
Automatic setup fetches only the latest 50 products and 50 orders. To bring in anything older, use Pull orders from Zid in the Orders section.
A failed step does not stop the rest
Apart from the connection check, any step that fails is logged and the connector moves to the next one. Watch the progress messages to see what succeeded and what did not.
Review your settings afterwards
Automatic setup applies sensible values, not necessarily the right ones for your business. Review the Status tab in particular before going live.
