Odoo connection details
What each connection field means and where to find its value.
Odoo URL
The address you use to open Odoo in your browser, for example https://mycompany.odoo.com. Copy it exactly, with no path after it.
Odoo Database
The name of your Odoo database. You can find it on the Odoo login screen, or under Settings → General Information inside Odoo.
Port Number
Leave this empty in most cases. You only need it if your Odoo runs on a non-standard port.
Email and password
The Odoo user the connector will act as. Every sales order and invoice the connector creates is attributed to this user.
Use a dedicated user for the connector
Create an Odoo user just for the connector rather than using your personal account. It makes it much easier to see what the connector did, and stops the connector breaking when you change your own password.
The user needs enough rights
The user must be allowed to create sales orders, invoices and stock moves. A restricted user makes the connection test pass while operations fail later — the hardest case to diagnose.
Odoo Version
Select your version accurately. It genuinely changes behaviour: accounting field names differ between Odoo 15 and later versions, and the ZATCA features only work from 19.3 onwards.
The version is required before saving
Automatic setup will not start without a version, and saving is refused with a message asking you to pick one.
